Russian air defenses destroy six combat drones in Ukraine operation

Moscow, SANA-Russian air defense forces destroyed six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and shot down nine HIMARS, Uragan and Olkha rockets in the past day in their special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Sunday.

“In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities destroyed six unmanned aerial vehicles, including a Bayraktar TB2, in the areas of the settlements of Snegiryovka in the Nikolayev Region, Novomikhailovka, Novomayorskoye and Blagoveshchenka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Ustinovka in the Kharkov Region,” the spokesman said.

“They also shot down four rockets of the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system in the area of the settlement of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region and five Uragan and Olkha rockets in the areas of the community of Olkhovatka in the Kharkov Region and the city of Donetsk,” the general added.

Russian combat aircraft, missile and artillery troops struck over 200 military targets in the past day in their special operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.

Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-24 bomber and a Mi-24 strike helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Nikolayev and Kherson Regions, Konashenkov reported.

“Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-24 warplane of the Ukrainian Air Force in the area of the settlement of Dobroye in the Nikolayev Region and a Ukrainian Mi-24 strike helicopter in the area of the community of Mirolyubovka in the Kherson Region,” the spokesman said.

Russian troops destroyed four Ukrainian ammunition and missile/artillery armament depots and two US-made counter-battery radars, Konashenkov reported.
