With participation of Syria, 11th World Urban Forum (WUF) continues activities

Katowice, Poland, SANA- With the participation of Syria, 11th World Urban Forum (WUF) has continued its work for the second day in a row, as a meeting was held on Tuesday included the ministers of participating countries.

The meeting focused on the main strategies available to implement the new global urban agenda, including the national strategy for housing in Syria, and research on legal frameworks and urban and regional planning frameworks that are being developed in the participating countries with the aim of guiding the transformation of cities towards a sustainable future.

The regional and non-regional governmental mechanisms were also discussed during the meeting with friendly countries, in addition to supporting the investments for the transformation of cities towards an Urban sustainable future.

It is noteworthy the forum was opened on Monday evening, with participation of Syrian delegation headed by Minister of Public Works and Housing, Suhail Abdel Latif, and Syrian Ambassador to Poland, Radwan Lutfi.
