Ministry of Transport : The Israeli aggression caused heavy damages to airstrips

Damascus-SANA- Ministry of Transport said that the brute Israeli aggression that targeted today Damascus international Airport ‘s infrastructure, caused heavy damage to the airport’s airstrips.

The ministry said in a statement ” landing and departing flights were suspended today till further notification as a result of the Israeli aggression, since it caused heavy damages to the airstrips in several localities and to the navigation lights in addition to the damages occurred in the airport lobby”.

The ministry stated that “the Civil Aviation personnel and national competent companies are working together to fix the damages”.

The air traffic shall be resumed in corporation with air carriers as soon as the rehabilitations are accomplished, the ministry concluded.
