Water Resources Minister calls for addressing water situation in light of climate changes

Dushanbe,SANA- For the second day, sessions and events of the Second High-level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 being held by Tajikistan in cooperation with the UN, continued with participation of Syria

Head of the Syrian delegation, Water Resources Minister, Tammam Raad, told SANA correspondent that during the conference, he presented the challenges that are facing the water sector in Syria, of which the destruction and sabotage the water facilities have been exposed to because of terrorism.

The Minister also referred to the difficulties that face the Syrian government as the Turkish regime is decreasing the Euphrates supplies ,along with the unjust coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people, in addition to the climate changes.
