More than 20 thousand people evacuated from Donbass to Russia

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry announced Wednesday that over the past 24 hours, more than 20,000 residents of Ukraine and Donbass Republics have been evacuated to Russian territory.

“Despite all difficulties and challenges created by Kyiv authorities, 20,043 persons, including 2,886 children, have been evacuated from several dangerous areas in the Donetsk Republic of Ukraine to the Russian territory”, Head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center, Mikhail Mizintsev was quoted by Sputnik News Agency as saying.

Mizintsev noted that since the beginning of the Russian special military operation to protect Donbass, more than 1.5 million people have been evacuated to Russian territory.
