First Russian cargo ship sails from Mariupol Port

Moscow, SANA- The Russian cargo ship “Astrakhan” left the port of Mariupol, carrying a cargo of minerals on board, for the first time since the liberation of the city and its port.

According to Novosti Agency, the ship left the port with goods produced in the Mariupol factories, noting that the ship stopped at the port for loading for two days.

The authorities are working to rehabilitate public facilities and restore water and energy supplies so that the city will gradually return to normal life.

On May 20, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, announced the liberation of the Azovstal plant, the last stronghold of Ukrainian extremists in Mariupol.
