Provinces, SANA – Units of the army and armed forces on Thursday continued to launch intensified military operations against terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them, including field leaders.
Daraa
A military source told SANA that the army established full control on Faroun lands in Daraa northern countryside, killing large numbers of terrorists and destroying their weapons.
The source added that the army destroyed dens of terrorists and a warehouse for weapons in addition to a number of heavy vehicles in Abu Harat and Tal Ashiheb in Daraa countryside, killing and injuring many terrorists.
Damascus countryside
The army and armed forces directed concentrated strikes against the Takfiri terrorists in Douma, Zamalka, Joubar and Harasta in Damascus countryside.
SANA field reporter said that terrorist organizations in Douma received heavy losses at the hands of the army where more than 18 terrorists of the so-called organization “Liaw Fajer al-Umma” were killed, among them Omar Jomaa and Yasen Abul-Aziz.
Meanwhile, units of the army destroyed dens of terrorists in Harasta farms and killed a number of terrorists; among the dead were Ahmad Kadadou and Mustafa Mahdfoud.
In Joubar, the army sent heavy strikes against terrorists to the north of al-Mualemin tower and the schools’ compound, killing many of them.
Quneitra
A unit of the army and armed forces killed many terrorists and injured others in al-Hamidiyeh town in the western part of the southern province of Quneitra, 7 km from central city.
A number of more terrorists were killed and others were wounded injured as army units targeted their gatherings in Rueihiniyeh town, 8 km southeast of Quneitra city.
Idleb
A Military source told SANA that the army destroyed a rocket launch-pad and two mortar launchers, in addition to killing large number of terrorists the villages of Basames, Kfar Najd, Um Jireen, al-Ja’akiyeh, Tal Salmo and Abu al-Duhour in Idleb countryside.
Army units killed 19 members of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and injured 12 others in Mozra village in the western slope of Jabal al-Zawieh Mountain in the countryside of the northern province of Idleb.
Moroccan terrorist Nader al-Loul, Libyan terrorist Akram al-Hurra, and terrorists Mohammed al-Aqra’ and Faraj al-Ali were identified among the dead.
Other units of the armed forces killed a large number of terrorists and injured scores of others, including field leaders affiliated to the so-called “Islamic Front” terrorist organization, in a special operation that targeted a number of their gatherings south of Sarja village in Jabal al-Zawieh.
The military operation inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists’ ranks, destroying large number of vehicles and weapons.
A military source stressed that several members of the so-called “Jund al-Aqsa” were killed and injured as the army carried out intensive operations against its hideouts in the villages of Ma’ayan, Haila and al-Kfeir.
Two cars equipped with heavy machineguns were destroyed in Haila village on the slopes of Jabal al-Zawieh in Muhambel area.
The army inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in personnel and equipment in the area surrounding al-Arba’een Mountain and the villages of Ma’ar Tab’ei and Kfar Lata.
Homs
A military source told SANA that the army, aided by popular defense groups, established full control over Khatab village in al-Makhram area, east of Homs city, after eliminating scores of terrorists and destroying their munitions.
Units of the army and armed forces killed terrorists and injured others in Tal Abu al-Sanabel, Um Sharshouh, Talbiseh and al-Ghajar village in al-Rastan area in Homs countryside.
In the same context, terrorist organizations’ strongholds in al-Sa’en and Housh Hajjo villages, 13 km north to Homs city, were targeted by the army which resulted in the death and injury of large number of their members.
The army destroyed terrorists’ hideouts and weapons in Jeb al-Jarrah, Mas’ada and al-Musheirfeh al-Janoubiyeh and Um S’heirij in the countryside of the province.
Deir Ezzor
Popular resistance in the Eastern region continued its operations against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists who behead the safe citizens.
SANA reporter quoted local sources as saying that the popular resistance ambushed a terrorist group of the ISIS in Dahla in al-Bssera area, killing five of them, among the killed were two of Kuwaiti and Libyan nationalities.
Members of the popular resistance also clashed with the ISIS terrorists in al-Myadeen area, eliminating six of them, among the killed were Habib al-Turki from Kuwait.
