Syria wins two medals in INFO CUP 2022 in Romania

Damascus, SANA- Syrian Scientific Olympiad students gained a silver and bronze medals in the International Informatics Championship “INFO CUP 2022” organized remotely by Romania on February 12 and 13.

164 students, divided into 41 teams, representing 14 countries took part in the competitions.

Excellence and Creativity Authority told SANA in a statement that member of Syrian Scientific Olympiad team for Informatics, Amin Abdul Karim Sharba won the silver medal, while the bronze medal was gained by the team member Ahmed Akram Tohme.

The Authority added that the four Syrian students, who had represented the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in this INFO CUP 2022 for ages of 16 and under, had achieved notable progress on the level of their performance and grades compared to the previous Syrian participation in the aforementioned tournament.

Syria’s participation in this tournament has included two four-hour rounds.
