Global war waged on Syria didn’t bear fruit, Sayyed Nasrallah affirms

Beirut, SANA- Hezbollah Party Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has affirmed that the global war on Syria has ended and did not bear fruit.

“The global war waged on Syria ended and did not bear fruit, but things still need some caution in light of the presence of terrorist organizations in the north and the attempts of the West to revive Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq,” Nasrallah said in an interview with Iranian Al-Alam channel on Tuesday.

Nasrallah indicated that what has been happening for several months, the last of which was what happened in the Industrial Secondary School Prison in Hasaka shows the existence of a project to revive ISIS in the region again, especially since hundreds of ISIS, some of whom are senior leaders, have not been arrested, in addition to the information obtained by Russian intelligence, which states that the Americans will reconnect with extremist terrorist groups in Damascus and Lattakia, and “this is not strange about the Americans who steal oil and gas from the east of the Euphrates.”

Nasrallah praised the effectiveness of the Syrian Arab Army air defenses’ response to the Israeli attacks, noting that the priorities of the Syrian state at the current stage are to fight the Takfiri and terrorist organizations and to address the pressing economic living situation due to the siege and US sanctions.

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that the resistance, its weapons, and its presence are the only guarantees to protect Lebanon, adding that Israeli threats are being dealt with seriously.

Nasrallah revealed that the resistance’s air defense force has given very effective results since its activation two years ago, reiterating that the resistance is interested in owning any weapon that would enable it to defend Lebanon and its people.

Sayyed Nasrallah added: “There are surprises that we hide for any war,” indicating that the goal of activating the air defense force of the resistance is not to shoot down drones, but to eliminate their danger.”

On the Palestinian cause, Sayyed Nasrallah extended condolences to the families of the three Palestinian who were martyred on Tuesday by fire of the Israeli occupation in Nablus, stressing that the equation of harming Jerusalem means harming the entire axis of resistance is still valid.

Nasrallah added that the Israeli occupation’s continued violations of the rights of the Palestinians through the confiscation of lands, the establishment of settlements, the Judization of Jerusalem, and the arrest campaigns and house demolitions make the choice of resistance the only choice for the Palestinian people.
