Provinces, (SANA) The Army repelled Saturday armed terrorist groups, having successful operations against their gatherings and killing scores of them in different areas.
Daed Mohammad Farzat, who has been wanted by authorities, was arrested at an army checkpoint in the city of Homs.
Units of the armed forces targeted terrorists’ gatherings in al-Rastan, Talbiseh and Um Sharshouh in the countryside, killing and injuring numbers of them.
Units of the army gained control over al-Taf and Satah Zahnan towns in al-Lajat area in Daraa countryside after eliminating a number of terrorists and destroying their criminal equipment.
A military source told SANA that an army unit foiled terrorists’ attempt to attack a military checkpoint in Daraa al-Balad, killing and injuring a number of them.
The source added that another army unit thwarted an armed terrorist group’s attempt to attack a military checkpoint in Hammad Farm in Um al-Aousaj village in the countryside and eliminated a number of terrorists.
Army units targeted two terrorist groups in the surrounding of a farm on al-Sendianeh-Samlin road and on the intersection of the towns of Samlin and Zamrin in the countryside, leaving many of the groups’ members dead and wounded.
The army killed and injured a number of terrorists affiliated to the terrorist group of “Islamic Union for Sham Fighters” and “Umahat al-Muslimeen Brigade” in the area of al-Mleiha in Damascus Countryside, among the killed terrorists were Abu Zayad of the Algerian nationality, Abu Fahd of the Saudi nationality and Ibrahim Nassr
The army units also clashed with terrorists in several areas in Harasta and Joubar, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and munitions.
In Douma, the army destroyed terrorists hideouts and killed a number of terrorists, other army units clashed with terrorists affiliated to the so-called “al-Islam Army” in Alya Farms. Among the killed terrorists were Yaser Rashed and Samir al-Shibli.
In al-Zabadani, The army targeted terrorists’ hideouts in many areas, destroying their weaponry, including mortars, and eliminating non-Syrian terrorists, among them were Fayez Rajdi of the Lebanese nationality and Tahseen Nawaf of the Saudi nationality.
Army units eliminated 11 Jabhat al-Nusra linked terrorists, among them a leader in Jabhat al-Nusra in Khan Sheikhoun in Idleb countryside , nicknamed Abu Khatab al-Hamwi.
Army unit targeted terrorists hideouts in Murek town in Hama countryside, killed a number of terrorists, injured others and destroyed their vehicles.
A military source told SANA that the operation resulted in the killing of the leader of the so-called Jabhat al-Islam Khaled Sarhan al-Jasem and the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra Ahmad Ibrahim al-Kadeh.
The source added that other army units killed 19 terrorists and injured others in al-Kanafiz village in Salamiyeh countryside and destroyed their weapons and ammunition.
An army unit killed a number of the so-called “al-Kadisiyeh gatharing” terrorists and injured others in Salba village in al-Ghab countryside, Hama and seized a heavy vehicle for the terrorists.
Units of the armed forces destroyed a number of the terrorists’ vehicles in Handarat, Hanano, al-Mesilmiyeh, Tal Jibin. Sheikh Issa, Andan and Kafer Da’el in Aleppo and its countryside, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.
A military source told SANA that the army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in Kwairis, surrounding the industrial city, Haritan, al-Atareb, al-Zerbeh, Kafer Hamrah, Babis, Izaz, Tal Rifa’t, al-Binawi village, to the south east of al-Hajeb, Kafer Naseh, Bustan al-Basha, Tal Kadah, al-Jbaileh and the old city of Aleppo.
The army units killed and injured a number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons and ammunition in the operation.
