Syrian Olympic committee announces solidary with china against US blackmail

Damascus, SANA-Syrian Olympic Committee announced Thursday its solidarity with China against US blackmail campaign that aims to affect Beijing’s hosting of winter Olympic games next February.

“While Chinese preparations to host winter Olympic games in Beijing next February are almost done, the US President has lately announced that his administration studies the US officials’ boycott to those games under the pretext of China violations of human rights,” the committee said in a statement.

The committee called on the international Olympic committee to take a clear stance that expresses the importance of that sport event and respects the Olympic charter.
