Syrian Olympic football team meets its Indonesian counterpart in two friendly matches

Damascus, SANA- The Syrian Football Federation said that the national Olympic team will play two friendly matches with its Indonesian counterpart on Feb. 14th and 17th in the framework of its preparations for the next matches.

The national team is also preparing for the finals which qualify it for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup to be held in Qatar next March as it will start in the group 5 which includes Uzbekistan, India and Bangladesh and the finals will be hosted by Bangladesh.

After finishing its camp in Indonesia, the national team will hold a training camp in Kuwait during which it will play two matches with the Kuwaiti team before heading for Bangladesh to play in the finals there, Head of the Federation Salah Ramadan told SANA.

He indicated that the Federation has succeeded in making contacts with a large number of the Arab and Asian federations to make the suitable preparations for the Syrian Olympic team.
