177 new coronavirus infections, 7 deaths reported in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 177 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria and 90 patients recovered, while 7 others passed away, according to the Health Ministry.

 “The total number of infections registered in the country has reached up to 45,645,  of which 27,307 have recovered, while the death toll has reached up to 2,644” the Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The first coronavirus infection was detected in Syria on March last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death of the virus was recorded a week later.
