Temperatures to drop, rain showers expected in some areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become below their average from 2 to 4 degrees, as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwesterly air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department said in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be between clear and partly cloudy in general, while rain showers are expected over the coastal and northwestern regions to extend gradually to the rest of the areas during the evening hours.

The winds will be westerly to northwesterly, between light to moderate, with gusts of speed exceeding 60 km / hour sometimes, and the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be in Damascus 22/8, Daraa 23/8, Homs 19/5, Hasaka 27/7, Tartous 19/10, Idleb 19/4, Deir Ezzor 32/5.
