Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds two million and 671 thousand

Capitals, SANA-The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 2 million and 671 thousand people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website.

According to the website, which follows up the latest developments of the virus, the total number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has till now climbed to 120,742,863, while the fatalities have amounted to 2,671,114 and the recoveries have reached up to 97,342,676.

The US still tops the worst-affected countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and fatalities after recording 547,918 new deaths out of 30,133,037 infections, then comes Brazil comes in the second place after registering 279,286 fatalities out of 11,519,609 infections, and India comes in the third place after recording 158,892 out of 11,409,524 infections.
