Selfie, a show that evokes the articles of Muhammad Al-Maghout within Sweida Theater Festival

Sweida, SANA- The spirit and words of late writer Muhammad Al-Maghout flew in the theatrical work spaces (Selfie) the last shows of the fourth stage of Sweida Festival, which the audience watched for five days, on the stage of the Cultural Palace in al-Madina.

The basic idea of the work, prepared and directed by Walid al-Aqil, and presented by the University Theater Group at the National Union of Syrian Students branch in Sweida, revolves around a rehearsal inside a show before the author and director differ to leave the actors in the middle of the road who begin to present themselves in self-monologues for each character within the present situation that we live in to convey the message and feelings of youth.

Director Walid al-Aqil pointed out that he sought, through a selfie show, to present an image that represents society and reflects different views and how the young generation sees its situation at a crossroads as it tries to create its future, indicating that the difficulty of the idea of the presentation was manifested in the stage of articles by Al-Maghout and presenting them within a comic framework to attract the audience and address the intellectuals through the bold and subtle views of Maghout.

The show, according to his director, was characterized by three levels of performance and was full of shaping and lighting through a complete scenography with little decoration.
