Czech parliamentarians: Turkish regime’s policies, continued support for terrorists poses a threat on region’s security and stability

Prague, SANA- Czech Representative in the European Parliament, Dr. Ivan David confirmed that the Turkish regime continues to support Daesh organization and other terrorist organizations, not only in Syria, but also in Iraq, noting that these policies pose a threat on the security and stability of the region.

David said that this regime, along with its mercenaries and terrorists, continued occupation and aggression against areas on the north and northeast of Syria constitute a flagrant violation of international legitimacy.

For his part, Deputy Speaker of the Czech House of Representatives Tomio Okamura called upon European countries, including Czechs, to impose an arms embargo on Turkish regime and to stop military cooperation with it, stressing that the Turkish regime is practicing a hostile policy which aims at reviving the defunct Ottoman Empire.

Okamura also called on the Czech government to take a supportive stance towards for Syria, Cyprus and Greece in the face of the Turkish regime’s policies, which constitute a real threat on the Eastern Mediterranean region.
