Capitals, SANA-According to Worldometers website, the novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of 1,269,571 persons worldwide since the beginning of its outbreak last December.
The website added that the total number of infections globally has reached up to 51,259,771, while the recoveries have amounted to 36,661,124.
In Mexico, the Health Ministry announced that 4,960 infections and 198 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 972,785 and the deaths to 95,225.
In China, the National Health Committee has announced in a statement on Tuesday that 22 new infections have been recorded in the Chinese Mainland, one of which is local and the others came from abroad, bringing the total number of infections to 86,267, while the deaths remained the same 4,634.
The Egyptian Health Ministry on Monday announced that 221 new infections and 12 deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 109,422, while the recoveries reached up to 100,439 and the fatalities amounted to 6,380.
