EU shouldn’t neglect aggressive practices of Erdogan regime, Czech MP affirms

Prague, SANA –  Member of the Czech Republic Jiří Valenta has called on the European Union “EU” not to be tolerate with aggressive acts of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s regime particularly against Syria and Libya, demanding to impose sanctions against it.

Valenta, in a statement to SANA reporter in Prague, said that the provocations carried out by the Turkish regime against Greece through the unlawful excavation activities in the Eastern Mediterranean and its practices in the Nagorno-Karabakh region against Armenia constitute new evidence and another aspect of the hostility of this regime.

He added that he adopts a careful stance towards the issue of imposing sanctions because they harm the civilian population. However, in the case of Turkey, the importance of imposing such sanctions can be felt.

The Czech MP indicated that Turkey is a member state of NATO and a candidate to join the EU, and it had pledged to abide by the defined rules of the Union, so it is not surprising to unify stances within the Union towards adopting a firm stance and imposing sanctions against it.
