Damascus, SANA- With the participation of Syria, the competitions of the first round of the International informatics Olympiad started. The event, which brings together 348 students of 87 countries, is organized by Singapore from remote.
The Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement that three students from Aleppo and one in Damascus are participating in the competition.
The agency added that the technical measures required by the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad in Singapore have been taken, including direct video filming of students as they submit the tests from the centers assigned to them.
The students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad Ahmed Haidar, Basher Islambouli and Muhammad Nour Al-Masry won three bronze medals in the Asian Informatics Olympiad organized by Indonesia from remote on August 15, with the participation of 240 students from 33 countries.
