Sweida, SANA – Journalistic, documentary exhibition under the title of “Syrian Arab Army, the nation’s shield and homeland’s fence” opened at the Arabic Cultural Center of Sweida on Monday .
The exhibition contains some 50,000 documents, photos and newspapers that document the political memory of Syria in general and Sweida in particular for a century.
Documents and photos from Tishreen Liberation war, President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to the province in 2006 are exhibited in addition to pictures of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for preserving the dignity of the homeland during Syria’s latest war against terrorism.
Director of the exhibition, journalist Riad Naem said that the exhibition contains documents he has gathered for documenting battles of the Syrian army against Israelis and the mercenary terrorists, in addition to photos of martyrs’ memorials.
