Support and facilitations to international humanitarian organizations in Aleppo continued

Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Ulabi stressed full readiness to provide all forms of support and facilitations to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and other international humanitarian organizations to perform their humanitarian and relief work in serving the families affected by terrorist acts.

Meeting Chairman of the ICRC Mission in Damascus Boris Michel on Monday, Ulabi shed light on the role played by the international humanitarian organizations in the field of relief works and alleviating the suffering of citizens, stressing keenness on ensuring services and aid to all citizens based on the government’s responsibility in this domain.

For his part Michel said that goal behind the programs and activities carried out by the ICRC in Syria is to provide all forms of food, health and humanitarian aid to all families which are in need, indicating that the ICRC has allocated the biggest part of its 2015 budget for Syria.

He indicated that ICRC works in cooperation and coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent “SARC”, affirming that the Syrian government and Aleppo governorate provide all required facilitations and support to make this work a success.

He clarified that the mission will soon expand the fields of its work to cover the physical rehabilitation and manufacturing and installing prosthetic limbs in Aleppo, in addition to more humanitarian and relief works.
