Geneva, SANA-Syria called for the need to take immediate measures and force the Israeli occupation entity to stop its crimes and continued violations against the Palestinian people and the occupied Syrian Golan.
“Israel’s continuation in setting up and expanding settlements in Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan and the illegitimate annexation of lands are dangerous violations that should be stopped,” Syrian Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Hussam al-Din ala said in an interposition within the agenda of the 44th session of Human Rights council.
He added that Syria supports the recommendations of the special rapporteur and calls for the Israeli occupation retreat from its racial practices and the policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.
Ala concluded by saying that Syria affirms the permanent responsibility of the UN towards the Palestinian cause, stressing the important role of the Human Rights council in observing and documenting the Israeli violations.
