Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, discussed with Board of Directors of Chamber of Agriculture and Heads of the Chambers in provinces the establishing of companies for manufacturing and marketing the agriculture products, in addition to establishing small manufacturing units in the countryside in the context of the positive intervention and delivering the agricultural products to citizens through the public markets with affordable prices.
Participants in the meeting agreed to intensify the efforts to develop the agricultural sector and overcome the obstacles facing it in coordination with the Agriculture, Industry and Economy Ministries and the Union of the Agriculture Chambers, as well as expanding the storing and refrigeration units for the agricultural production.
Prime Minister clarified that developing the agriculture is a basis for the food security and self-reliance to face the challenges, calling for unifying the efforts to bring back the strength to this sector and repair what has been damaged by terrorism as well as enhancing the role of the union and improving the sector production.
