Forest hugs rare trees in Hama province

Hama, SANA- In a rare charming area, among the plain and mountains, particularly in Jourat Salman in al-Ghab area in Hama province, where the Elm forest is located, which is considered as the lung of place and the most important ecotourism destinations opened to all visitors.

Besides its nature beauty, the forest hugs thousands of Syrian elm trees which date back to hundreds years and that makes it an environmental and natural heritage.
An expert in forestry, Eng. Hekmat Khadraa told SANA that the elm tree is rare and its name related to Syria , its shadow is intensity , purify the soil , longevous and resistant to climate and nature conditions.

Khadraa added that the forest constitutes a popular park and it is opened to visitors for free, which ensures relax and rest in nature away from the noise of contemporary life.
