Art exhibition in Lattakia to encourage young artists

Lattakia, SANA – 17 young artists from various provinces gathered in Lattakia to showcase their works in “Art Compositions” exhibition that is going on at ‘Abbey Road Art’ cafe until November 21.

The exhibits included paintings with oil and ink paints, caricatures and other works of lithographic printing and artistic decoration.

In a statement to SANA, Salim Salman, coordinator of the exhibition, said the main idea of organizing the exhibition, which was announced via social networking sites, was to give a chance to young artists, some of them are unknown, to display their works and present their experiences.

One of the youngest participants, Ashraf Raheb, who is 21, has a wide experience acquired through participating in several Arab and international exhibition in Beirut, Dubai and London.

Raheb showed excitement about having the chance to add more to his experience through his participation.

One the other hand, Mohammad Abo Ajeeb, who is  a Fine Arts Faculty graduate, found it very useful to be among the other participants and benefit from their artistic skills and academic background.
