Al-Halqi honors 800 families of army martyrs and injured soldiers, inspects work at Lattakia Industrial Area

Lattakia, SANA – Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Saturday honored 800 families of army martyrs and injured soldiers at Dar al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia province.

Speaking at the honoring ceremony, Premier al-Halqi praised the great sacrifices of Syrian army and people for the sake of pride and dignity of the homeland.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to help families of martyrs and provide medical care to the injured soldiers.

He noted that the Correctionist Movement has laid the foundation for the stability of Syria and established the cornerstone to launch the development process in the country which contributed to turning Syria into a regional power that is able to defend the Arab issues.

Al-Halqi added that the package of comprehensive political, economic and social reforms launched by President Bashar al-Assad enhanced peculiarity of these achievements.

The premier pointed out that the current critical stage requires everybody to assume their responsibilities in order to upgrade performance to the level of people and army’s sacrifices to combat takfiri terrorism and obscurantist mentality.

 

“Syria is going ahead with its war against takfiri terrorism,” al-Halqi said, stressing support to any honest international endeavor to fight terrorism with one condition that it should preserve the lives of innocent civilians and respect national sovereignty.

Earlier today, the Premier visited the Industrial Area in Lattakia and inspected production process and obstacles hindering work progress, indicating to the government’s efforts to provide necessary support to handicrafts and funding new projects.

Al-Halqi also met members of the executive office at Lattakia Governorate Council whor briefed him on services and economic situation and the procedures taken to push forward the development process in the province.

The premier, who started a visit to Lattakia last Thursday, inaugurated a number of industrial, economic and services projects.
