Geneva, SANA- Works of the first meeting of the expanded body of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution started on Thursday at the UN Headquarters in Geneva with participation of the delegation supported by the Syrian Government and the other delegations.
SANA correspondent in Geneva said that the meeting today is a closed meeting as the three delegations are participating in it with the presence of UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen who said on Wednesday that starting the work of the committee represents an important step on the way of finding a permanent political solution to the crisis in Syria ,affirming that the constitution is owned by the Syrian people only.
The Committee of Discussing the Constitution comprises 150 members who represent the delegation which is supported by the Syrian Government, the delegation of other parties and the delegation of the civil society as each of them includes 50 members evenly.
