Moscow, SANA- Chairman of the Committee of the Parliament of South Ossetia on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations Igor Kochiev said on Wednesday that his country will invite parliamentarians from Syria to observe parliamentary elections in his country scheduled for 2019.
Sputnik quoted Kochiev as saying ” We will extend an invitation so that our Syrian colleagues can observe [elections] . ..We would like to invite our counterparts from Syria to get acquainted with our life, our country and its beautiful landscapes, and we will be happy to have them.”
Foreign and Expatriates Ministry declared on May 29 that Syria and Ossetia agreed to exchange recognition and set up embassy-level diplomatic relations.
