Damascus, SANA – The Syrian Special Olympics Foundation, in cooperation with the General Sports Federation, held a festivity Monday at the Opera House in Damascus, marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The festivity included dance and artistic performances, exciting choral singing experiences, fantastic singing Duos and playing on musical instruments.
Child Abdullah Skaif extended gratitude to all those who trained him along with his friends and provided them with necessary support and care in order to strengthen their willpower and give their best.
In a statement to SANA, head of initiatives at the Foundation, Salah Salah, stressed that the event carries a message that people with disabilities are talented and have great potentials if support was provided in an appropriate way that ensure getting them merged with society.
He added that associations from 5 provinces, including Damascus and its Countryside, Homs, Aleppo and Sweida, participated in this activity.
