Beirut, SANA- Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin stressed that his country continues to exert all possible efforts to eliminate terrorism in Syria and to preserve its unity due to its key role in preserving the stability of the region as a whole.
In an interview with Lebanese al-Manar TV last night, Zasypkin said that “his country gives top priority to eliminating terrorism in cooperation with the Syrian army and its allies and to restoring the sovereignty of the state over all the Syrian territories.”
He noted that the US and its allies have stood in the face of the efforts exerted by the Syrian Government and Russia in the face of terrorism.
Zasypkin affirmed that the US sanctions on some states harm the joint interests and affect the relations between them.
