Madrid, SANA-A delegation of Spanish businessmen expressed support to Syria in its war against terrorism and their readiness to support the Syrian economy and to participate in the reconstruction process.
The delegation’s remarks came upon a visit to the Syrian Embassy in Spain on Wednesday by a group of representatives of trade and investment companies in Madrid, Malaga, Seville and Leon in coordination with Syrian-Russian Businessmen Association in Madrid with the aim of inspecting the investment reality in Syria.
Trading Flow Arrangement Company Director General Goland Devalos expressed willingness to make investments in Syria.
In turn, members of the delegation expressed desire to visit Syria and to inspect the economic reality and to enhance banking relations between the two countries.
They expressed the Spanish real estate companies’ keenness on making investments in Syria and their willingness to participate in the reconstruction process along with the Syrian companies.
They talked about the role played by the Spanish media and the European media in general in misleading the Spanish public opinion and the political parties and in distorting facts on the reality of the events in Syria.
For his part, Syria’s Ambassador to Spain Milad Atyia said that the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria by the European Union increased the suffering of the Syrian people.
Atyia affirmed that the Syrian Government started the process of reconstructing and rehabilitating the liberated areas to help the displaced to return to their homes.
He indicated that the process of reconstruction will be accomplished by Syria with the participation of the friendly and allied states which have stood by the Syrian people in their war against terrorism.
