Salkhad city in Sweida rich with archeological monuments from different eras

Sweida, SANA- Salkhad city, located to the south of Sweida province, has been a leading center in southern Syria throughout history.

In the Roman age, the city gained a great significance.

The historical monuments in the city date back to different ages, particularly to the Ayyubid reign.

Salkhad castle is one of the most important archeological monuments in the city and it is an Ayyubid fortress that was built over a volcanic hill.

Salkhad minaret is also one of the archeological monuments in the city which still exist at the main square.
