Aleppo, SANA – An art exhibition depicting the beauty of the old city of Aleppo, its archaeological Citadel, houses and ancient alleyways was opened in al-Sabil Park in Aleppo city.
The exhibition entitled “from Aleppo of Olives to Damascus of Jasmine” included a collection of oil paintings which covered several topics about ancient Aleppo, its ancient houses, its ancient ruins and its castle.
The exhibition, opened Friday, is organized by Aleppo branch of the Plastic Artists Union and Aleppo City Council.
Head of the Union’s branch, Ahmed Nassif highlighted the importance of the exhibition to move away from traditional art galleries and provide, instead, a new outdoor platform to showcase paintings and reach more audience.
