Astana, SANA- Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday that bilateral and multilateral consultations among participants in the 8th Astana meeting on Syria will be held on Thursday, while the plenary session will be convened on Friday.
Earlier this month, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said that the 8th Astana meeting on Syria will take place on December 21-22.
Sputnik Agency quoted the Ministry as saying in a statement that representatives of the guarantor states of the cessation of hostilities agreement, namely (Russia, Iran and Turkey) and the UN, the US and Jordan (as observer), in addition to the Syrian Arab Republic delegation and the “opposition” delegation are scheduled to participate in the meeting.
The statement pointed out that delegations of three guarantor states started to arrive in Astana.
