Tartous, SANA- The 3rd day of the Second Knowledge Forum for Syrian Academics dubbed “Academics and Science Future in Syria” on Tuesday focused on the information technology (IT), telecommunications and management.
Speaking at the morning session of the 3rd day of the forum held at Arab Cultural Center in Tartous, Vice Rector of Tartous University for Scientific Affairs Ali Ahmed talked about the effect of the electromagnetic waves on the public health due to the huge progress witnessed in the domain of telecommunications.
Ahmed called for setting controls for radiation intensity to protect the people from its dangers.
Participants in the forum underlined the importance of the automation and the renewable energies as they are eco-friendly, in addition to tackling the issue of the nanotechnology and ways of applying it in many domains, particularly in telecommunications, information and medicine.
The administrative corruption and ways of combating it were also discussed at the evening session of the forum, in addition to strengthening young leadership capabilities.
