Friday weather forecast: Partly cloudy, fog in inland areas

Damascus, SANA – Temperatures tend to rise, yet they will remain slightly below average as the country is affected by low high pressure accompanied with northwesterly air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be clear and partly cloudy in general and weather will be cold at night, warning against fog formation in most inland areas in the early morning hours.

The wind will be changeable to northwesterly of low speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours.

The heaviest amounts of rainfall were witnessed in Safita city in the coastal Tartous province (7.2 mm).

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 18/5, Daraa 15/8, Homs 14/6, Lattakia 20/13, Aleppo 15/5 and Deir Ezzor 16/7.
