Oman reiterates keenness on solving Syrian crisis, developing bilateral relations

Damascus, SANA- Chargé d’affaires at the Omani Embassy in Damascus, Khaled bi Salem al-Saadi, highlighted the strong and solid Omani-Syrian relations, calling for further enhancing them to serve the best interests of the two brotherly countries.

During a reception held by the Omani Embassy in at Damascus-based Dama Rose Hotel on Monday marking the 47th anniversary of Oman’s National Day, al-Saadi said that his country is keen on the success of the political solution to the crisis in Syria, congratulating the Syrian leadership and people on liberating al-Boukamal City from terrorists.

He wished that “security and stability will return to Syria.”

For his party, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, highlighted the deep-rooted relations binding the two brotherly countries “as Oman has stood by Syria in its war against terrorism and it stands by it in the development process.”

Mikdad added that the stance of the Sultan of Oman Qaboos is well-known of its balance, wisdom and belief in the necessity of uniting efforts to engage in the significant battle of the Arab nation.

Meanwhile, Grand Mufti of the Republic, Ahmad Bader Eddin Hassoun, indicated that the Sultanate of Oman is an example on an Arab country which has always built bridges of communication between the people of the Arab nation.”
