Cuban ICAP institute calls for int’l support for Syria in war on terrorism

Havana, SANA – The President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples (ICAP) Fernando Gonzalez affirmed that the international community should support Syria in its war on terrorism.

During a meeting with the Syrian Ambassador to Cuba Idris Mayya, Gonzalez hailed the sacrifices and heroism of the Syrian Arab Army, saying that it “deserves appreciation from all the peace-loving nations and forces in the world.”

He expressed his confidence that Syria will win over terrorism and that it will emerge from the war more powerful.

In turn, Mayya asserted Syria’s determination to hunt and eliminate terrorists and restore security and stability to all Syrian areas, thanking the ICAP for its activities in solidarity with Syria.
