Industry Minister, Indian Ambassador discuss possible joint industrial projects

Damascus, SANA – Industry Minister Ahmad al-Hamo discussed with the Indian Ambassador in Damascus, Man Mohan Bhanot the outcomes of developing a fusion factory in Hama Iron and Steel Industries Company and possible future industrial projects.

The participation of Indian companies in rehabilitating and developing public companies such as the General Tyre Company in Hama and the General Fertilizers Company in Homs, as well as establishing joint projects in food, renewable energy and pharmaceutical industries, resembling farm tractors and importing raw materials were also on the table.

Minister al-Hamo invited the Indian companies to actively take part in the reconstruction of Syria, hailing efforts exerted by the Indian Ambassador to further develop the Syrian-Indian relations.

For his part, Ambassador Bhanot expressed his country’s interest in enhancing bilateral relations in the Industrial sector.
