Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will gradually rise to become above average by 3 to 5 degrees as the country is affected by the
superficial seasonal low air pressure accompanied by a subtropical high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the weather will be hot and the skies clear in general and misty in the eastern, al-Jazira and al-Badiya desert areas.
Weather forecaster Hisham Shraba told SANA that temperatures will slightly drop as the current high air pressure will recede, while a low air pressure will prevail in the upper layers of the atmosphere, causing a drop in temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 40/24, Daraa 39/25, Homs 38/23, Hama 42/24, Lattakia 33/24, Aleppo 40/23 and Deir Ezzor 45/28.
