Sweida, SANA- In the framework of the humanitarian aid provided by Russia, and ion the occasion of Eid al-Fitr , Russia distributed on Sunday 500 portions of food aid on the families residing in the makeshift centers in the Vanguards Camp in Rassas town in Sweida.
Governor of Sweida Amer Ibrahim al-Ashi said in a statement that the aid reflects the deeply rooted Syrian- Russian relations and highlights the Russian stance in support to the Syrian people and its steadfastness in the face of terrorism, expressing thanks and appreciation for Russian government, army and people for standing by Syria and supporting its national issues in the face of terrorism.
For his part, Representative of the Russian Center for Coordination and Reconciliation in the southern area said that the aid expresses the close friendship between Syria and Russia, expressing hope that peace will prevail in Syria.
Russian doctors also examined patients residing in the makeshift center as part of the humanitarian activity.
