Damascus, SANA – Public Works and Housing Minister Hussein Arnous discussed with a delegation from Modcon Indian company means of enhancing cooperation in the field of the Ministry’s activities and the work of its affiliates.
Arnous welcomed the entry of Indian companies to work in the field of infrastructure and the construction of residential buildings and their participation with Syrian companies in the reconstruction stage, pointing out to the distinguished relations between Syria and India.
The Minister called on Indian companies to invest in Syria and participate in the upcoming Damascus International Fair and Reconstruction Exhibition, which will allow Indian businessmen to learn about the investment opportunities in Syria.
For his part, Syrian Ambassador to India Riyadh Abbas underlined the importance of cooperation and working with Indian companies, calling on the Syrian and Indian sides to take advantage of the strong relations between the two countries and promote joint economic relations.
For their part, members of the delegation expressed their readiness to participate in the construction and housing projects, especially since the company has advanced equipment and multiple competencies to work in this field.
