Army’s Chief of Staff visits military positions in Daraa

Daraa, SANA –Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub, the army’s Chief of Staff  paid a field visit Thursday to a number of units and military points in Daraa and its countryside.

General Ayoub conveyed President al-Assad’s greetings and appreciation of the army soldiers’ courage and sacrifices.

He was briefed in detail by field commanders on the nature of the operations carried out by the army units against the terrorist organizations.

During the tour, Ayoub inspected the readiness of the army units operating in the area and provided the soldiers with his instructions, affirming the importance of the constant readiness to confront terrorist groups and foil their hostile acts.

In turn, the soldiers affirmed they remain loyal to the Homeland’s soil and defenders of its dignity to restore peace and stability to the whole country.
