Cabinet discusses services and economic issues

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet’s weekly session on Tuesday tackled a number of services and economic issues, mainly securing supplies and petroleum products.

Chairing the weekly session, Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi directed the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Ministry to find mechanisms for marketing citrus and olives and boosting the positive intervention carried out by the institutions concerned in all provinces, stressing the necessity of finding new mechanisms to control prices.

Al-Halaqi affirmed the government’s keenness to achieve food security through setting up plans and programs to develop the agriculture sector, highlighting the importance of building up a solid base for agricultural industry.
