Quneitra, July 19 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces raided the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah in the northern countryside of Quneitra province on Sunday, setting up a temporary checkpoint and searching civilians, SANA’s reporter said.

The reporter said the force, comprising five military vehicles, entered the village and stopped passersby for searches before remaining in the area for a period of time.

Israeli occupation forces stationed in the town of al-Hamidiyah also fired a mortar round and a smoke shell toward the area between al-Hamidiyah and the city of al-Salam in northern Quneitra countryside. No casualties were reported.

The latest incursion came a day after an Israeli occupation force of six military vehicles entered the vicinity of Kodna Dam in central Quneitra countryside, accompanied by Israeli drone activity over the area, before later withdrawing.

Israel has continued to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, as well as raids, arrests, land bulldozing and shelling targeting civilians.

Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Syrian territory, stressing that all Israeli measures are null and void under international law and carry no legal effect. It has also urged the international community to uphold its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
