Israeli Occupation launches Incursions in Areas of Damascus Countryside and Quneitra

Damascus, SANA-Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple incursions Monday in areas of Damascus countryside and Quneitra.

According to SANA’s reporter, an israeli military unit consisting of 11 vehicles and more than 60 soldiers advanced into the area between Beit Jinn and Beit Jinn Farm in western Damascus countryside. The forces seized control of Tal Bat al-Warda, at the foothills of Mount Hermon, and reportedly opened fire toward civilians, though no casualties were reported.

He added that Israeli forces also entered several towns and villages in Quneitra countryside, including Jbata al-Khashab, Tranja, al-Rafid, Manshiyat Suwaysa, Bariqa, Beer Ajam, Kodna, Ain Ziwān, and Ain al-Abed. Troops raided and searched a number of homes before withdrawing.

Today’s actions follow a similar incursion last Friday, when Israeli forces entered multiple towns in Quneitra and Daraa governorates, erected checkpoints, and detained several civilians.

The Syrian government strongly condemned the repeated violations by Israeli occupation forces, stressing that such actions obstruct efforts to restore stability and constitute a flagrant breach of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Syria urged the international community to take a firm stance to halt these aggressions.
