Daraa, June 28 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces conducted a new incursion into southern Syria and established a new military checkpoint near the Jamlah Company site in the western Daraa countryside on Sunday, marking the second checkpoint erected within 200 meters of another installed on Saturday.
SANA’s correspondent in the area reported that Israeli occupation forces also entered the village of Abidin in the western Daraa countryside with five military vehicles.
The forces established two checkpoints inside the village and subjected passing civilians to inspection before continuing their deployment in the area.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria and military actions affecting civilians, including raids, arrests, land bulldozing and shelling.
Syria reiterates that all measures taken by the Israeli occupation authorities in Syrian territory are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus has renewed its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities, put an end to these violations and ensure Israel’s full withdrawal from southern Syria.
