Ankara, April 28 (SANA) An official delegation from Syria’s Interior Ministry, headed by Col. Ahmad al-Ahmad, Director of Airport and Border Crossing Security, visited Türkiye to review advanced technologies used in border control and airports security.
The ministry announced Tuesday that the visit included a comprehensive briefing on modern surveillance, screening and inspection systems used at airports and border crossings, as well as discussions on how new technologies can be adopted to improve passenger flow while raising safety and security standards.
The delegation also examined operational practices related to monitoring systems, checkpoint management and integrated control procedures at key transport gateways.
Syrian officials said the visit represents an important step toward strengthening security cooperation and exchanging technical and field expertise between the two countries.
They added that the initiative is expected to support the development of national personnel and contribute to modernizing Syria’s airport and border security infrastructure.
