Aleppo Police dismantle criminal network responsible for 70 vehicle thefts
Confiscated firearms used by the group in the systematic looting of vehicles.

Aleppo, Feb. 25 (SANA) The Bab al-Faraj police department in Aleppo successfully thwarted the activities of a specialized criminal group involved in auto theft, arresting all four members of the network.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior detailed that the arrest was the result of a precise field surveillance operation conducted by a police patrol in the Bab al-Faraj neighborhood. Security personnel identified the suspects and monitored their movements continuously before launching a surprise raid that caught the perpetrators redhanded.

The Ministry confirmed that two pistols were seized from the group, along with stolen items recovered from a recently targeted vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, the criminals confessed to executing more than 70 separate operations involving the smashing of vehicle glass and the theft of valuables across various neighborhoods in Aleppo.

This operation underscores the high level of vigilance maintained by the Internal Security Forces and their commitment to preserving public order and protecting the private property of citizens through proactive policing and institutional rigor.
